Jillian Harris – Dinning Room

September 8, 2016
  • This was one of the Love it or List it Vancouver’s most dramatic renovations. So much of what would have been original in this house had been stripped away during previous renovations in the 60s and 80s.
  • A larger dining area was created by incorporating the window bench as seating for the dining table. The dining room table itself was custom-built and is a solid wood piece.
  • The incorporation of the window seat opened up the views to the kitchen, visually increasing the length of the space. High wainscoting was added to accentuate the age of the home and wonderfully traditional touches in the table setup completed the look. Setting the table can really finish a space off well. This table setting pulls on the shades of blue that were used in the kitchen, and adds a classic and timeless look to the design.
