Back Yard Designs

September 9, 2016
  • This was beautiful 10-year-old home with a huge, (almost!) empty yard. The yard had a beautifully landscaped pond that was incorporated into the new design; It blended seamlessly into a single unified project.
  • The result: a classic, cottage-style deck with a stone patio and four distinct zones, sun shelter to provide shade in the sun-heavy west-facing yard, and lots of privacy from the neighboring homes.
  • Also incorporated was a beautiful outdoor kitchen with a glass dry bar for casual dining, and LED-lit glass counters surrounding a luxury built-in BBQ unit.
  • The deck flows to a super cozy and private space for the gigantic sunken hot tub, which is enclosed with canvas privacy screens, a retractable canvas awning, and a bar for refreshments!
  • Lounge space is provided on the outdoor loveseat to enjoy the ambiance of the ponds and the gas-fed fire pit. A spacious dining area sheltered by a custom shade sail complements the funky shape of the deck. Placed throughout is low-voltage accent lighting, which is the icing on a very inviting cake!
